Callum Hogan Callum Hogan - oboe
Born in Sydney, Callum Hogan completed his Bachelor of Music in Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2018 under Alexandre Oguey and has played in masterclasses for Jacques Tys, François Leleux and Diana Doherty.
Callum has performed as a guest musician with the Sydney and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras, and toured Europe and China in 2019 as Principal Oboe of the Australian Youth Orchestra. Callum made his solo debut in 2018 premiering Daniel Dean’s Solo Concertino for Oboe and Strings with the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra.
In 2021 Callum worked alongside Nigel Westlake, performing his oboe concerto Spirit of the Wild. He was a Sydney Symphony Orchestra Fellow for 2020 and 2021 and in 2022 successfully auditioned for the Oboe position of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Marina Marsden Marina Marsden - violin
Marina Marsden has been the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Second Violin since 2006 having joined the SSO in 1995 as Assistant Concertmaster. She is also a member of the Australian World Orchestra.
Marina studied violin at the Sydney Conservatorium with Alice Waten and from 1985, assisted by several scholarships, studied for a Performer’s Diploma in Vienna with Gerhard Schulz (Alban Berg Quartet). In 1990 Marina became a Concertmaster of the Bruckner Orchestra in Austria and Melbourne Symphony’s Associate Concertmaster from 1992 until 1994. As soloist, she has performed with the Sydney Symphony, Melbourne Symphony, Canberra Symphony and Adelaide Chamber Orchestra. In 1997, Marina travelled to Austria and the USA on a Churchill Fellowship.
Marina is an active soloist and chamber musician, appearing frequently in Sydney Symphony Chamber Players series. Marina has recorded for Tall Poppies, Move Records, Wirripang Publications, ABC Classics labels and the AMEB, and was the 1999 recipient of an Australian Music Centre National Award.
She travelled to Europe in 2013 for advanced study in violin playing and mentoring, assisted by a Sydney Symphony Michael and Mary Whelan Trust Scholarship. In 2015 she appeared as soloist with the SSO and performed in the AWO Southern Highlands Chamber Music Festival.

Tobias Breider Tobias Breider - viola
Tobias Breider, Principal Violist of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra since 2011, has established himself as one of Australia’s most asked for violists in chamber music and regularly collaborates with the country’s finest artists and ensembles such as EnsembleQ (Brisbane), the Australia Ensemble, Selby&Friends, Wilma&Friends, the Melbourne Chamber Orchestra and the Australia Octet. Internationally he was invited to perform at Festivals in the UK, South Africa, USA, Austria and his native Germany. In Australia he has performed at all Sanguine Estate and Bendigo Festivals, the UKARIA24 and Coriole Festival, the Townsville Festival, the the musical Marathons in Melbourne and at the Sydney Chamber Music Festival. Tobias is founding member of the Haveron-Breider-Clerici String Trio.
As a soloist Tobias has appeared at the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Town Hall, City Recital Hall, the Sydney Domain, Parrammatta Park and the Recital Centre Melbourne. In recitals he toured Queensland and Victoria.
Tobias teaches privately in Sydney, previous teaching engagements include the Britten/Pears School in Aldeburgh, the Shanghai Academy, Stellenbosch University (South Africa), the Sydney Conservatorium and ANAM. Tobias plays on a Brothers Amati Viola from 1626, generously loaned by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

Miles Mullin-Chivers Miles Mullin-Chivers - cello
Miles Mullin-Chivers began playing the cello when he was 4 years old. At age 19, Miles completed his Bachelor of Music Performance with First Class Honours at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, having studied under Julian Smiles.
He has also been taught by Tamas Varga, Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, Phillip Muller and Kasia Hans, whom he continues to study with. Miles performed as a soloist at the Canberra International Music Festival in 2018 and 2019 and won the 2019 Gisborne International Music Competition. Miles has performed as a guest musician with the Sydney Symphony and Opera Australia Orchestras. Later this year, Miles will perform in the Musica Viva Festival.
